fter spending over $1,000,000 paying other contractors to work on my homes, I learned two things. First, large home projects are a terrible experience, and second, the one thing that can help is good communication. All the issues that you could imagine dealing with, I have probably gone through. The worst experience was after getting a bid for $110k, and expecting the budget to end up around $150k. Shortly after the start of the project, the GC told me it would probably be closer to $200k, and I kept pushing him for an updated bid. By the time I finally got the updated bid, I had already paid out $140k, and they were saying it was going to be $290k – $300k total to finish the project. 
 
This shook everything I had built up to this point, and I sat down and reevaluated my business. I decided with the experience I had as a homeowner, I could start my own company and offer the experience I wish I had. So with that goal, I started Envision Renovations. 
 
We specialize in full home remodels and additions/conversions. I know what it’s like to be in your shoes. I wanted the best product at the cheapest rate. I didn’t want to sacrifice on quality, but what I ended up sacrificing on was the process. In return, I ended up not liking the final product as much. It makes sense though. You grow a resentment in your home over the work that is being done, and that experience doesn’t go away when the project is done. Yes it may be beautiful, but it is tainted by the experience that you will always be reminded of when you look at the work, or when people say how cute your home is, you will be telling them about the experience and how bad it was. 
 
I strive to provide the best customer experience through the process to ensure the experience is just as good as the final product. This doesn’t mean we won’t find unknown issues when we demo, or that there won’t be problems. If I have learned one thing, it’s that nothing goes perfectly in construction. All of this can be made better with communication. It was the worst thing when I didn’t feel like I could talk to the contractor because he was too busy, and if he did talk to me, that I could trust him when I had a concern and he tried to make excuses. 
 
I subcontract 99% of the work out, but this is actually for your benefit. This allows me to hold each company I hired accountable for the work that is being done. I also get discounts from my subs because of the work I bring them. So my services as a middle man to ensure the work being done is done properly and your experience goes smoothly won’t cost you more, so GCing the project yourself would save you anything. With that being said though, I also don’t use unreliable companies. So you can find cheaper bids and estimates, but for the full package, great process, and great final product, you won’t find anything better out there.

y career started in the medical field where I specialized in Orthopedics. Though I left the field to pursue my passion in real estate, that intrinsic nature to care for people has stayed with me.

By the time I was 30, I had bought and renovated 18 homes, purchased a few rental properties, created and sold a handful of companies, and helped countless people bring their visions to life.

After spending more than $1,000,000 paying other contractors to work on my homes, I felt I had a strong grasp on what homeowners wanted when hiring. It became my goal to create a company that can deliver that experience to all homeowners.

It has been quite the journey, and it feels like I am just now hitting my stride.

More importantly, let me introduce you to my family! My wife and I got married in 2017, and have 2 beautiful baby boys (picture is a bit out of date). My wife is a documentary photographer, and does destination events and weddings.
